FluidEQ

System-wide EQ with its own audio engine · Windows 10 & 11

Your sound, finally worth watching.

New in v2.0.0

2.0 A new window around a rebuilt sound.

The biggest FluidEQ yet: the whole window redrawn in the colors of its new icon, forty visualizers and real 3D worlds drawn on your graphics card, and a sound rebuilt preset by preset, so what you hear is exactly the curve you drew.

The equalizer in FluidEQ 2.0: the new title bar and section tabs, a live spectrum drawn 80 dB deep behind fifteen bands, the Tone row with its low cut, Bass, Mid, Treble and high cut, and the output panel beside it.

A NEW LOOK

A new window, in new colors

The panes stand on one open floor in the colors of the new icon, and one slider, Brightness, takes the whole window from near-black to a light ocean blue. With a Plus visualizer on the graph, the window can take its colors, or let it play behind everything.

  • 40looks on your graphics card
  • 12studio views of the sound
  • 80dB analyzer, down to 10 Hz
  • 24rooms for headphones, all free
  • 83music styles, each a whole chain

THE FLUIDEQ ENGINE · AUTO NORMALIZE

A volume that holds, and never clips

Auto-leveling built into the FluidEQ Engine. What you hear stays at one steady loudness while you change the curve or the style, with room always kept under full scale so no boost distorts.

  • No boost can clipAuto normalize sets the level before the EQ for you, from the music actually playing — for the equalizer and the DSP rack alike.
  • One step, no dipChange a band or apply a curve and it lands on the new level at once, then only fine-tunes. It used to dip, and still be climbing back ten seconds later.
  • Every style at one loudnessEach music style is measured and leveled, so switching changes the character, never the volume.
  • Song after songTurn on the Normalizer in the DSP rack and live audio is leveled song by song, remembering the songs it has heard.

A NEW VISUALIZER ENGINE

Every visualizer on your graphics card

The graph's forty looks now draw on the engine the Plus scenes run on: on your graphics card, at your screen's own refresh rate, so bars, particles and peaks glide where they used to step. And a Plus visualizer can now be a real 3D world.

THE COMPACT PLAYER

FluidEQ, folded into a player

One switch in the title bar folds all of FluidEQ into a player. It is the classic amp, with its LED clock, its lamps and the whole equalizer; on the Backdrop, over a Plus visualizer, it turns to glass. The same switch takes you back to the page you left.

Earlier, in v1.7

An engine of its own. Scenes worth watching.

FluidEQ now shapes everything the computer plays, and FluidEQ Plus arrives with visualizers drawn on your graphics card. Swipe through what changed, then read every line of it.

Your first five minutes

First steps with FluidEQ

Start with a familiar song at a comfortable volume. The left rail switches FluidEQ on and holds the preamp; the center is your workspace; the right rail follows your output and its profiles. The bar at the foot of the window controls whatever is playing.

Plus FluidEQ Plus

Watch the music move.

Plus visualizers are living scenes drawn on your graphics card. These are running in your browser right now, to the song from the demo video — the same scenes, through the same scene contract the app runs them in.

How to get Plus

A gallery of scenes, ready for your music.

Browse them in Plus → Visualizers, preview FluidEQ’s sample scenes for 10 seconds with any account, and add the ones you like to play them on the graph.

The window can take a visualizer’s colors or its light, and some bring birds, petals or stars that drift gently around the app — what this page is doing now.

Plus See it in motion

A tour of FluidEQ Plus

Everything Plus adds, in four and a half minutes: Visualizers, the Leaderboard, the Studio from an idea to a published scene, Dynamic lighting and the desktop visualizer.

Plus Make it with your AI

Build your own visualizer with your AI.

The Studio turns a description into a visualizer. Your own AI assistant writes the scene in a project folder, and FluidEQ plays each version on your music the moment it is saved. The Studio is part of Plus; a new account can open it on the free trial.

  1. New project…

Give it a name. FluidEQ makes its folder, with a scene that already moves.

  2. Describe your scene

What it shows, and what moves with the beat, the bass or the treble. A photo of yours can come alive too.

  3. Copy AI prompt

It tells your AI how FluidEQ scenes are made, with your idea at the end. Every file it saves plays on the stage right away.

Any assistant that works on files: Claude, Cursor, Codex, Copilot. With a chat instead, save the files it gives you in this folder.

  4. Publish…

Anyone signed in can see it in Visualizers. Plus members can play it, add it to their looks and like it.

The FluidEQ Engine

Your EQ, on everything you hear.

FluidEQ’s own audio engine runs inside Windows’ audio service, after your sound card’s effects — so games, browsers and streaming apps all pass through your EQ and the whole DSP rack, and the maker’s panel keeps working.

  • Your sound card’s own effects and panel keep working
  • EQ and the DSP rack apply to everything, no restart
  • Custom APO commands, Peace and VST plugins do not run

Equalizer APO

  • Custom commands, Peace, VST plugins
  • Takes over your sound card’s effect slot; vendor panels can lose controls
  • DSP rack works in Library playback only. Separate setup, Windows restarts.

Features

Five workspaces, one listening system

Online Media, EQ, DSP, Library and Karaoke share one transport, one volume and one clear signal story. EQ keeps its bands, headphone corrections, presets and convolution together; under the FluidEQ Engine the DSP rack works on every app.

Online Media

Play online video inside FluidEQ while the response graph and the live spectrum stay in view, and one player at a time keeps Library, Karaoke and Online Media from talking over each other.

Portrait of Ivan Carmenates Garcia, the developer behind FluidEQ
Ivan Carmenates Garcia Developer · father · still shipping

The person behind FluidEQ

Built between bedtime and the next idea.

I’m Ivan Carmenates Garcia. I belong to the in-between era: old enough to have written Z80 machine language by hand, young enough to still ship software today.

  1. 01

    The first machine

My father traveled across provinces to find his kid a better computer. That machine opened a door I never stopped walking through.

  2. 02

    Closer to the metal

MSX-era BASIC led to hand-written Z80 code, then to a lifetime of asking how complex software could feel clear and immediate.

  3. 03

    Still shipping

Today I’m a developer, a father of two, and the person building FluidEQ. The quiet hours after family time are when filters are tuned, bugs are chased, and the next workspace takes shape.

One coffee is roughly one late night of building. It helps keep FluidEQ free, local, maintained, and moving forward.

A hidden reward

Find the beat. Keep the spectrum.

Tap the pet on the beat. In FluidEQ the game hears the percussion in your own audio; here, reach ×10 and this page turns rainbow too.

In FluidEQ itself, Rainbow mode is one click away in the What’s new tour — no ×10 required.

What actually changes

  • Every EQ band drops its single teal and takes its own color, and each slider pulses with what that band is hearing.
  • The response curve thickens and its glow becomes the spectrum. The selected handle swells with the level under it.
  • The title-bar meter grows taller and starts drawing at your screen’s full refresh rate instead of the thirty it is capped to otherwise — the wave gets visibly smoother.
  • Menus, About and What’s new pick up the same sweep, so the color is not just on one screen.
  • The pet gets a spinning aura, and the moment you reach it two rings go out across the whole window.
  • Nothing behind text is tinted. The color lives on edges and on things that were already moving, so the app stays readable.
  • Ctrl+E turns it off and on from then on, and reduced motion keeps the color while holding it still.
