Presets — 107 whole sound chains

StartSWest ·

This thread is for the presets.

What it's for: a starting point by taste. 107 whole sound chains, 83 of them music styles — rock, metal, pop, hip-hop, electronic, jazz, classical and many more — plus film, games, speech, podcasts and late night. Each one explains itself beside the list.

How it works: a preset is a curve of its own in the EQ and a rack of its own in the DSP tab, so it never overwrites your bands — clear it and your EQ is exactly as you left it. Every preset was measured and levelled, so switching one changes the character and not the volume, and a switch crossfades instead of clicking. Pick one from the Presets picker at the top of the EQ page, or give a game its own under Game presets.

Ask here about which preset fits what, and what one is actually doing to the sound.

Rewritten for 2.1. This thread was "Voicing — the thirteen target curves"; the presets replaced the Voicing tab in 2.0.
